2024 North Star Rover Rally – MN Land Rover’s 41st Annual Picnic
Along with ANARC, MN Land Rovers is honoured to invite you to join us in Gilbert, Minnesota on August 1st through 4th for the North Star Rover Rally.
Come join the members of the MN Land Rovers club in northern Minnesota, up on the Iron Range, the land of sky-blue waters, 10,000 lakes, birthplace of Bob Dylan and the Greyhound Bus Company, for the North Star Rover Rally!
For 41 consecutive years, members and families of the MN Land Rovers have been gathering each summer to swap stories, vehicle parts, take trail rides, all while making new and renewing friendships at our annual Picnic. This year, we want to extend a warm Minnesota welcome to all Land Rover lovers, wherever you are from, to join us for the North Star Rover Rally!
Dates: August 1st – 4th, 2024
Location: Gilbert, MN (Google Maps)
Gilbert is in Northern Minnesota, roughly 200 miles and 3 hours north of Minneapolis. The Gilbert OHV Park (map) will be the main meeting location for all Rover-based activities, and the West Forty Campground (map) will be the hub for camping and social activities.
Registration: Registration is limited to the first 75 trucks, and can be done through Zeffy here. All attendees must register for the event as either a driver, passenger or child. Registration includes access to all NSRR activities, a meal ticket for the Saturday night dinner at Giants Ridge, participation in a BBQ smoke out on Friday night, and an event t-shirt and welcome back.
Registration does not include lodging or camping, which must be made separately!
Camping & Lodging: The main camping area will be at West Forty Campground in Gilbert. For those who prefer a hotel, we suggest The Lodge at Giants Ridge, which is the location of Saturday’s banquet dinner.

Events: The event starts on Thursday. Trail rides will occur on Friday and Saturday. There is a BBQ dinner on Friday and hosted dinner on Saturday. Fun will be had at all times. The full schedule has more details and specifics.
Trails: We will have trails from mild to wild, so bring you Evoque, bring your LR4, bring your built Classic; there will be something for everyone! See our trails page for details and gpx tracks.
Other Activities: There are many suggestions of great activities of all kinds in the area apart from Roving!
What Else to Know: Camping/lodging booking and costs are separate from event registration, so please make sure to find accommodations. All participating vehicles must have a valid state of Minnesota OHV sticker. All drivers must be a current member of the Minnesota Land Rovers club, or a member of a club participating with ANARC.
